Carmela Ice Cream
Carmela founder, Jessica Mortarotti, has been coming out to the desert since early childhood, but it wasn’t until she began living in Palm Springs part time that she saw a real niche for her handcrafted, award-winning ice creams and sorbets.
“People out here appreciate quality and deserve delicious, fresh ice cream to cool off with by the pool or bring to a swanky dinner party. I am so excited to be bringing Carmela out to my favorite desert oasis,” says Mortarotti.
Carmela makes seasonal ice creams completely from scratch in small batches using fresh, real ingredients. Often combining herbs and spices with seasonal fruits, Carmela is considered a pioneer in farm-to-table, artisan ice cream and has been churning out inventive and delicious flavors since 2007.
Stop in for a scoop on a handmade waffle cone or stock up on ice cream sandwiches, pints and sorbet ice pops to take home.
